Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde was hospitalized after a physical altercation with teammate Aurélien Chouameni during training, sustaining a head wound requiring stitches.
Federico Valverde has been hospitalized after suffering injuries from a heated altercation with teammate Aurélien Chouameni during Real Madrid's recent training session. According to Marca, Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde was admitted to the hospital following injuries sustained from a dispute with teammate Aurélien Chouameni during training on May 7.
Reports indicate that tensions between Valverde and Chouameni began during the May 6 training session, and the next day Valverde refused to make peace with his teammate. During training, the two players had a fierce confrontation that intensified the heated atmosphere. After training concluded, both players continued their dispute in the locker room, escalating to physical violence that left Valverde with a head wound requiring hospital stitches, with head coach Álvaro Arbelo accompanying him.
Beyond this incident, Madrid is reportedly plagued by multiple internal conflicts, including issues between Antonio Rüdiger and Álvaro Carreras, as well as Kylian Mbappé facing cold treatment from teammates and even his own clashes with staff members. This weekend, Madrid must face Barcelona in El Clásico, and failure to win would officially end their La Liga title aspirations while leaving them without a trophy for the season.
