On July 14, Chulida Phralamaat, chairwoman of the Pen Neung Foundation, coordinated with government agencies to provide emergency assistance to a victim's family in Chachoengsao. The 38-year-old disabled mother of a 7-year-old girl reported that her daughter was sexually abused by a neighbor living in the opposite rental room. After the assault, the perpetrator insulted both mother and child, then threw 1,000 baht at them, demanding silence in exchange for not pressing charges. The mother rejected the money, declaring it could not compensate for her daughter's worth and vowing to pursue legal action fully. She explained that her daughter now lives in constant fear, repeatedly asking when coming home from school whether her uncle is still there. The girl struggles with anxiety, and the disabled mother fears she cannot adequately protect her child. Chulida disclosed that the mother filed a complaint on July 8. Given the sensitive nature of cases involving children, police coordinated with multidisciplinary teams to gather evidence carefully. Police from Samed Station have now compiled evidence, obtained arrest warrants, and successfully apprehended the suspect for legal proceedings. The Huay Kapi Subdistrict Municipality provided emergency relief packages and necessities to the family. Long-term support includes arranging work-from-home employment for the mother through private companies to provide income and allow her to care for her daughter closely. Social welfare authorities will provide psychological counseling to help the child recover from trauma.
