On July 23, 2024, Jangjira Pathanasiri, official from the Kanchanaburi Office of Social Development and Human Security, announced that the Center for Accelerated Public Welfare Management (CSPWM) dispatched social workers and staff from the Wanskai Foundation to investigate the case of a 15-year-old girl identified as Miss A, who suffered severe burns after her biological mother tied her to a house post and poured boiling water on her from the lower back to the back of her body. The girl is now hospitalized at Thongphapoem Hospital.

Investigations revealed that Miss A is a stateless person with identity card starting with zero, a Myanmar national who completed grade six and was then forced to stop schooling and work for wages. She lived with her grandmother from birth until age eight, after which her grandmother died and she moved in with her mother. Over the seven years living with her mother, she experienced verbal abuse and psychological mistreatment.

According to the account, the mother, 32 years old and also from Myanmar, does not work due to anemia and has remarried with two children from the current union. She has a volatile temperament and gambles frequently. On the day of the incident, when the mother returned home and discovered some food missing, the girl admitted to eating two pieces of pork because she needed to take medicine. The mother became angry, tied the girl's hands and feet to a house post, heated water, and poured it on her from the lower back to the back. Relatives who later saw the wounds brought her to the hospital.

The Wanskai Foundation and Lin Thin Subdistrict Municipality coordinated to obtain document TRD.8 from Thongphapoem District Office to facilitate health insurance claims for the girl, who has no registration status. The foundation's staff filed a police complaint against the mother. After medical treatment concludes, the Kanchanaburi CSPWM will take the girl into care and protection under child protection law and monitor the case.

On the same day, Anuson Sangaesaeng, Thongphapoem District Chief, instructed senior official Narapat Rattanavarayuddh to visit and encourage the girl at the hospital. Police Captain Parinya Kraikruan, commander of Thongphapoem Station, ordered the arrest and interrogation of the mother. Initial charges include illegal entry and unlawful residence in Thailand. Following witness interrogations, additional charges related to the assault will be filed.

On July 23, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister Pipat Ratchakij, Transport Minister Siripong Angskultakiet, Deputy Police Commander Pol. Gen. A multi-vehicle collision occurred on Petchkasem Road in Thabsakae, Prachuap Khiri Khan, when a ten-wheeler truck struck a sedan, which then hit a small four-wheel van and crashed into an electric pole, leaving the truck driver trapped. At 12:30 p.m. on July 23, 2025, Police Lieutenant Colonel Winai, investigation officer at Thabsakae Station in Prachuap Khiri Khan, received a report of a multiple-vehicle collision with injuries on Petchkasem Road (northbound) near the U-turn at Nong Hoi, kilometer markers 362–400, Subdistrict Ang Thong, Thabsakae District. At the scene, officers found a Mitsubishi sedan registered in Prachuap, driven by a 29-year-old woman, severely damaged and stopped in the middle of the road about 10 meters from a dynamo shop. Preliminary investigation included reviewing CCTV footage to determine the precise cause of the accident.

A wife has exposed her police officer husband's infidelity on social media after discovering his hidden affair with a prominent online influencer. The officer had repeatedly claimed he was deployed on national-level duties and forced to sleep at the station for extended periods, leaving his family without financial support and refusing to come home.
