Marking Culture and Art – Millions of Stories Under One Sky
Siam Paragon opens "Trillion Stories Under the Sky," a dual exhibition exploring identity and contemporary life through paintings of cats by Niam Mawornkonong and intricate cityscape maps by Zillustation, running through May 22, 2025.
Siam Paragon, in collaboration with Joyman Gallery and M Contemporary, presents a special art experience through the exhibition "TRILLION STORIES UNDER THE SKY," inviting everyone to explore the meaning of identity and the world we inhabit while questioning what it means to be human, the nature of cities, and contemporary relationships. Two solo exhibitions from contemporary artists who interpret the world uniquely are on display from today through May 22, 2025 at Art Jewel, Asia's latest art exhibition venue on the 5th floor of Siam Paragon.
The exhibition brings together two compelling shows. "Millions of CATS and ONE CAT" by Niam Mawornkonong explores the relationships between image, systems, and identity in an era of overwhelming information flow and artificial intelligence. Through 27 acrylic paintings on canvas featuring countless cats, the work reflects on coexistence in a world where differences fade and similarities become societal standards. Rather than providing answers, this exhibition opens space for viewers to question perception and the meaning of existence in a world increasingly filled with "abundance" and "sameness" unlike ever before.
Complementing this is "BENEATH THE HORIZON LINE" by Zillustation (Karun Jiamviriyasetheir), inviting visitors to pause and discover the beauty of cities in previously unnoticed dimensions. Through artwork presenting the city as a living space filled with stories, encounters, and memories, the exhibition features intricate black and white lines that create artistic maps blending reality and imagination with pop art sensibilities and contemporary cultural references, resulting in a surreal world that simultaneously reflects hidden beauty and ways of life in the metropolis.
Both exhibitions in "TRILLION STORIES UNDER THE SKY" offer viewers a chance to reconsider the world amid countless surrounding narratives, inviting art lovers to explore "millions of stories" and discover what it means to exist in today's world under the same sky. On display now through May 22, 2025 at Art Jewel, 5th floor, Siam Paragon.
