Motorcycle Chain Break Triggers Five-Vehicle Crash on Bangkok Bridge
On October 3, 2025, a Dream Super Cup motorcycle’s chain snapped on the Phra Nang Klao Bridge in Nonthaburi, causing the rider to lose control and fall. A following car swerved to avoid the bike, setting off a chain reaction that involved five vehicles and left four people injured. Police and rescue crews arrived, provided first aid, and cleared the wreckage to restore traffic.
At 08:30 on 3 October 2025, police from Bang Si Mueang Station were called to a multi‑vehicle collision on the new Phra Nang Klao Bridge heading into Rattanathibet Road in Tha Sai, Mueang Nonthaburi. Officers, municipal ambulances and Nonthaburi rescue teams found one man and three women waiting for treatment after the pile‑up. The incident began when the rider of a yellow Honda Dream Super Cup motorcycle reported that its chain snapped, locking the rear wheel and making the bike wobble before it fell. A following Honda City attempted to brake and swerve, but a Hino six‑wheel truck behind it also tried to avoid the car and struck a white Toyota Fortuner in the right lane. The truck then hit the Honda City and the fallen motorcycle, while the rider’s Honda Wave motorcycle slammed into the City as well. Four people were injured – two women, including the Honda City driver and a passenger in the truck, and two men. A dash‑cam from a good‑samaritan captured the scene. Police worked to move the vehicles and ease a traffic jam that stretched several kilometres during the holiday morning.
