The Thai Luk Thung Singers Association has released a statement mourning the loss of renowned luk thung singer Somchai Yodying (real name: Thanisorn Sawatdisantisuk), member number 228 of the association. She passed away at 4 p.m. on April 23, 2025, at Chaophraya Hospital in Prachuap Khiri Khan province due to cerebral artery stenosis.
A water-sprinkling ceremony for the deceased is scheduled for April 24, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at Wat Chaeng Hall in Dong Phrarham District, Prachuap Khiri Khan. Buddhist chanting ceremonies will take place on April 24-26, with the cremation ceremony on April 27, 2025, at the same location.
