On September 17, the National Science Museum of Thailand (NSM) announced a lineup of creative holiday activities for October 2569, featuring intensive science camps and workshops designed to spark imagination, develop analytical thinking, and teach problem-solving through hands-on experience. Programs cover drone technology, AI robotics, clean energy innovation, astronomy, and biology, held at NSM's Pathum Thani headquarters, Science Square at Ratchada, and Chiang Mai's science campus.
Surawong Wongsiree, acting director of NSM, stated that school holidays represent an important opportunity for young people to explore new dimensions of learning. NSM has organized diverse creative activities to make science, technology, and innovation relatable, enjoyable, and easy to understand, emphasizing interaction and real experimentation within the museum to spark curiosity and promote essential future skills.
Highlight programs at NSM Pathum Thani include: Dino Land Camp for ages 5-8 (October 6), taking children back to prehistoric times; The Epidemiologist Camp for ages 10-12 (October 7-8, two days/one night), where participants assume the role of epidemiologists responding to emerging diseases; Drone Explorer Camp for ages 10-12 (October 10-11), introducing drone technology; and Astro Explorer Academy for ages 10-12 (October 16-18, three days/two nights), exploring space and astronomy.
At Science Square Ratchada, programs include: Engineering Design Process camp on Electric Vehicles for grades 4-6 (October 8-9), where students design solar-powered cars; and Under The Sea camp for grades 4-6, teaching marine ecosystems through interactive science activities.
