Lucky Numbers Drawn At Memorial Service For Comedian Neng Mengjai

Paa Choo from Wat Svet posted video footage on his personal Facebook documenting the atmosphere of the 100-day merit-making ceremony honoring the late comedian Neng Mengjai, and revealed the lottery numbers clearly.

Following the completion of the religious ceremony, two renowned comedians, Tua Rae Choeiying and Chet Choeiying, visited the Phra Rahu statue enshrined within the temple to pay respects and seek blessings, then offered incense according to their beliefs for auspiciousness. Event participants and fans followed along to observe the proceedings closely.

The incense sticks burned in this ceremony revealed numbers 50 for Tua Rae Choeiying and 52 for Chet Choeiying.

In Nong Khai province, a drug-addicted man who hadn't slept for two days became delirious and attacked his wife. When his father intervened to stop him, the man struck his father's head with a hammer causing serious injury. The suspect fled on his motorcycle and was arrested at his father-in-law's house and faces legal charges.

On June 30, Lieutenant Colonel Kriang Kaew Gaeo Mani, deputy commander of Ratsanvapi Police Station, responded to reports of assault at a house in Ban Nang village, Phra Bat Na Singh subdistrict, Ratsanvapi district, Nong Khai province. Officers found the homeowner, 58-year-old Khan Janpimpa, with a severe head wound. He was dazed but conscious and was taken to Ratsanvapi Hospital.

The suspect was identified as 26-year-old Kampanart Janpimpa, Khan's son. After fleeing the house on his motorcycle, police discovered a bloody claw hammer left behind the house, which was collected as evidence. Officers tracked him to his father-in-law's house in Dong Tarn Village, where they found Kampanart sleeping. He was taken into custody at the station.

Investigation revealed that Kampanart had been using drugs and hadn't slept for two days. On the day of the incident, he became delirious and quarreled with his wife while holding the hammer. When Khan saw the danger and tried to stop his son from harming his daughter-in-law, Kampanart struck him on the head instead. After the attack, Kampanart rode to his father-in-law's house to resolve family problems but fell asleep before police apprehended him.

He was charged with assault causing serious bodily injury to a parent and is being processed according to the law.

Thailand has established three additional cloud-seeding operations in Nakhon Sawan, Buriram, and Ubon Ratchathani provinces to boost water supplies for agricultural areas facing drought concerns. Director Withaya Kaewmee of the Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation Department stated that since Thailand entered the monsoon season on May 15, overall rainfall has remained below normal. July and August are expected to see dry spells with below-average precipitation, creating risks of water shortages during the 2025 dry season across the country.

Most crops nationwide are in growth stages requiring adequate water. The Central Region has rice in seedling and tillering phases, sugarcane in tillering and stem extension, and cassava in canopy development. Northern rice is being prepared for planting, corn is in early planting to flowering stages. Eastern rice is in land preparation to seedling phases, cassava in canopy development. Northeast rice is in transplanting to seedling stages, sugarcane in stem extension. Southern rice is in seedling to tillering phases, cassava in root and growth development.

Reservoirs and dams require significant water replenishment, with usage at less than 30 percent capacity. The three new operations target: the Nakhon Sawan operation supporting rice-growing areas outside irrigation zones in Tha Tak, Phaisali, and Nong Bua districts, plus western and eastern agricultural zones; and combined Buriram-Ubon Ratchathani operations supporting rice areas in Sisaket Province's Wang Hin, Prang Ku, Phrai Bueng, Phyu, and Chaturphak Triphiman districts, plus Roi Et Province's Tung Kula Ronghai region.

Withaya emphasized that all cloud-seeding units must plan interventions before agricultural damage occurs, analyzing water requirements by crop type and weather conditions for maximum efficiency. The department has personnel, aircraft, equipment, and can adjust operations to suit conditions. Currently five operations are active in Tak, Nakhon Ratchasima, Sa Kaew, Prachuap Khiri Khan, and Khon Kaen provinces. Yesterday's operations brought rain to agricultural areas across 16 provinces and replenished seven major dams and 13 smaller reservoirs. Thailand's final BMX national championship will crown the 2025 champions in a fierce competition. General Decha Hemkrasaree, vice president of the Asian Cycling Confederation and president of the Thailand Cycling Association, announced that the fifth and final round of the BMX National Championship will be held July 3-4, with the children's balance bike championship on July 5 at Kamalasai Sports Park in Bangkok's Nong Chok district.

General Decha stated that the final round is expected to draw large numbers of competitors, as it will determine which athletes in each category will claim the national championship and royal trophy—a lifetime honor for both competitors and their families. The balance bike championship is also expected to attract many parents and children, as points accumulated across rounds will determine the national champions and help select representatives for Thailand's participation in the 2027 Asian Balance Bike Championship.

General Decha added that Thailand is well-positioned to host the Asian cycling championship again in 2027, pending approval from the ACC Congress 2027 in China. Thailand's accessibility, diverse accommodation options, and varied cuisine make it an ideal host.

BMX athletes can train on Thursday, July 2, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a team managers' meeting at 3:30 PM. Balance bike competition details will be announced on Friday, July 3, at noon via the Thailand Cycling Association's Facebook page. Athletes can train Saturday, July 4, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with managers' meeting at 5:00 PM. Both competitions will be livestreamed on the association's Facebook and YouTube channels throughout the three-day event.
