Omron Healthcare Thailand reports that one in four Thai adults have high blood pressure, yet only about 30% can control it effectively, while nearly 50% are unaware they have the condition due to its silent nature. Additionally, 58% of stroke patients have uncontrolled hypertension as a contributing factor, with the risk further escalating when atrial fibrillation (AFib) is present—patients with AFib face a five-fold higher stroke risk than the general population, though many show no symptoms or intermittent signs, delaying diagnosis until complications arise.
According to WHO Thailand, early detection of abnormalities is crucial to reduce health losses, quality-of-life impacts, and public healthcare costs. Under its "Going for ZERO" vision, Omron is launching three new intelligent blood pressure monitor series addressing diverse consumer needs: the EZ Series for beginners with simple operation and high accuracy; the IQ Series featuring Intellisense AFib technology for deep health tracking with an easy-read large display and IntelliWrap cuff to reduce measurement errors; and the flagship HEM-7383T1, which combines clinical accuracy with Bluetooth connectivity, allowing users to record, track, and share health data via smartphone with healthcare providers to enhance cardiovascular disease risk management.
