Opposition MP Promises Evidence-Filled No-Confidence Debate
Opposition MP Khakamon Nunonan warned that the upcoming no-confidence debate will be backed by strong evidence, not mere entertainment. She accused the government of trying to dismiss the debate as a show and promised to reveal previously unknown failures. She urged the public to await the debate and judge based on the presented facts.
Khakamon Nunonan said it is normal for the government to express confidence, but she wants the public to wait for the real no-confidence debate. She noted that the opposition also has high stakes and risks being seen as merely theatrical if the debate is perceived as a show. However, she expressed confidence that this debate carries weight and substantial evidence, citing numerous problems that have arisen in the current administration. She insisted that the public already knows where the government has failed and will not entertain claims that the debate is merely 'democratic entertainment'. She warned that if the debate lacks evidence, the government will evade accountability, but she plans to present hard facts to expose what the public has not yet seen, letting the people decide.
