PM Antutin Asks Police Chief About Aide's Local Exam Bribery Links
PM Antutin has requested information from the police chief about his aide's alleged involvement in a local exam bribery scheme, saying he sought clarity to counter unfounded speculation and support the ongoing investigation.
On September 11, 2025, Prime Minister Antutin Chaonveerapuk and Interior Minister gave a statement at the Anti-Money Laundering Office regarding his letter to the National Police Commissioner about allegations involving Tong Jeuea Chatchakij, a member of the Prime Minister's working team, in a local examination fraud scheme.
Anutin explained that over the past two to three weeks, multiple parties have alleged Tong Jeuea's involvement in the matter. To ensure clarity and confidence, he wrote to the National Police, who are investigating the case, requesting factual information to counter unfounded speculation. He emphasized that his relationship with the accused is purely professional and that he has no knowledge of the man's personal conduct or activities outside of work.
The Prime Minister said he sought the inquiry to provide a factual, principled basis for addressing public concerns both openly and in private, and to support the police investigation he oversees.
