Police Arrest Two Burglars Targeting Homes Listed for Sale
Police arrested two men in Bangkok for targeting homes listed for sale, stealing electronics and valuables worth thousands of baht over three coordinated burglaries in June and early July.
On July 8, 2569, Police Major Pattanasak Buphasuwarn ordered the arrest of two men, ages 44 and 28 (names withheld), at a residence on Rama Indra Road in Bangkok's Bueng Kum district. They face charges of coordinated theft at night, property damage, and using vehicles to facilitate robbery.
The investigation began in June when multiple victims in the Noi Lane area reported break-ins. Detectives discovered the criminals deliberately targeted homes displaying sale signs, believing owners were absent long-term, which delayed victim discovery and complicated pursuit.
On June 30, the suspects broke into a home and stole computers, phones, 12 bags of jasmine rice, facial scanning equipment, and other valuables. CCTV footage revealed three perpetrators using a white-red Honda Click motorcycle and a blue Honda Wave.
Under interrogation, both suspects confessed to three coordinated burglaries targeting vacant homes with sale signs. They stored stolen goods at one suspect's residence before gradually selling items to buy methamphetamine for personal use. Authorities transferred the case to Khok Khram Police Station for prosecution and continue pursuing the third fugitive.
