Police Bust Five-Website Gambling Ring After Gunshots
Police dismantled a five-website gambling network worth 140 million baht after a youth was arrested for firing a weapon in Don Mueang, leading investigators to 12 suspects across Bangkok and Pathum Thani.
Police have dismantled a five-website gambling operation following an investigation that began in April when officers responded to reports of a youth firing a weapon in the Don Mueang precinct. During the arrest of the initial suspect, Sarawit, investigators discovered he possessed unusual wealth and connections to five gambling websites. After gathering evidence, investigators obtained court-issued arrest warrants for 12 suspects across 15 cases linked to the entire gambling network. On July 10, Metropolitan Police Division 2 launched "Operation Shattered Dreams," a coordinated operation surrounding 12 targets across Bangkok and Pathum Thani. The operation successfully apprehended the suspects and revealed total gambling circulation of 140 million baht. Authorities seized 13 mobile phones, 5 computers, 3 automobiles, 4 motorcycles, 270,000 baht in cash, 17 ATM cards, 10 pieces of gold weighing 5 baht total, and one house, with total seized assets valued at 6,126,000 baht.
