Police File Three Charges Against Panadda; Husband Faces Money Laundering
Thai police are pursuing three serious charges — public fraud, money laundering, and Computer Crime Act violations — against foundation president Panadda Wongphudee, with her husband Athip Ananthawan also facing potential money laundering charges. The case centers on donations made to Panadda's charitable organization, with celebrity witnesses including MCs Phut Abhiwan and Num Khachai, and actresses Bella Ranee and Chompoo Araya, all summoned to testify. Phut Abhiwan stated he personally donated 800,000 baht.
Police are pressing three serious charges against Bum Panadda, with Got Athip also implicated in money laundering. Phut Abhiwan gave a statement confirming a loss of 800,000 baht, while Num Khachai arrived to testify.
At 10:00 AM on November 3, 2026, Pol. Lt. Col. Tassanapoom Charupratchaya, the station commander, disclosed the investigation direction. Two well-known MCs, Phut Abhiwan and Phudis Kamnoenploi (Num Khachai), were summoned to give statements regarding donations made to the foundation of Panadda Wongphudee, the foundation's president.
From preliminary verification of witnesses and evidence, police have set a course to pursue three charges: public fraud, money laundering, and the Computer Crime Act.
Initially, Panadda may face all three charges due to linked behavior, while her husband Athip Ananthawan (Got), if not a co-offender in the fraud, may still face the money laundering charge.
Investigators will next consider summoning foundation committee members and other related parties for additional statements.
Phut Abhiwan met with investigators at the station, telling reporters he had donated "800,000 baht." Num Khachai was also expected to give a statement that afternoon. Celebrities Bella Ranee and Chompoo Araya, who also transferred donations to the foundation, are scheduled to testify on November 4.
