Police Hunt Two Russian Brothers as Search Continues
Police are hunting two Thai suspects in connection with the disappearance of two Russian brothers in Chachoengsao province, with simultaneous operations underway to locate the missing men and apprehend the wanted individuals.
Police held a nearly two-hour coordination meeting at Huai Yai Police Station in Chachoengsao province on July 30 to assess progress in the disappearance case of two Russian brothers and plan the capture of wanted suspects. Deputy Commander Chokchai Ngamwong of Region 2 Provincial Police, along with Chachoengsao Provincial Commander Ponpun Wongmanee, investigation coordinator Phassakorn Prajit, and Huai Yai Station Commander Warawut Nityawan, led the session with investigating officers. The meeting reviewed investigative findings, evidence collection, and strategies to apprehend Thana, known as "Por," age 43, and Thongchai, known as "Thong," age 39, who remain at large. Officials stated that operations to locate the missing men and pursue the suspects are proceeding simultaneously, though no details were disclosed to protect the investigation's integrity. As of 7:20 p.m., Region 2 Provincial Police Commander Chatchai Surachetpong confirmed that neither suspect has been arrested and the missing Russians have not been found, while assuring the public that updates will be provided as the case develops.
