Thailand-China Transportation Tech Station Launches EV Training
GAC AION Thailand opens a training center at Rajamangala University of Technology Isan in Nakhon Ratchasima to develop skilled technicians for the electric vehicle industry through collaboration with Chinese and Thai institutions.
GAC AION Thailand has reaffirmed its commitment to developing Thailand's new energy vehicle industry by officially opening the Thailand-China Transportation Technology Station at the RMUTI-CHELOVE EV Training Center at Rajamangala University of Technology Isan in Nakhon Ratchasima. The station was established through collaboration with Tianjin Transportation Technical College, the Global Sustainable Transport Innovation Knowledge Center (GSTIKC), and the Thailand Innovation and Sustainable Development Association to develop quality personnel and upgrade Thai labor capabilities to international standards.
Ryan Zhang, After-Sales Service Director and Customer Service Manager at GAC AION Thailand, stated that sustainable growth in the new energy vehicle industry requires personnel with theoretical knowledge, workplace safety understanding, and practical experience, particularly in high-voltage electrical systems, battery systems, electric drive systems, fault diagnosis, and after-sales service. The event featured certification awards for 5 model instructors and 17 first-batch trainees who completed both theoretical and practical training in high-voltage systems, battery technology, electric propulsion, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of new energy vehicles.
Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed under the Engineering Practice Innovation Project (EPIP) between Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, Tianjin Transportation Technical College, and the Thailand Innovation and Sustainable Development Association to jointly develop curricula and professional standards for the new energy vehicle industry.
