A 46-year-old cyclist disappeared from his Nonthaburi home on August 6 after leaving on his bike at 4 a.m.; police are reviewing CCTV footage and questioning his cycling group as they search for leads.
Bangkrua Police held a meeting on the case of Thamman 'Tae Wongdragonfire' (also known as Tewit Taephan), 46, who disappeared mysteriously from his home early morning on August 6 with his bicycle. His 42-year-old girlfriend reported him missing to Bangkrua Police Station in Nonthaburi Province, stating that the family could not reach him. On August 7 at 9:30 a.m., Police Major Kittisak Pongthanaruk, superintendent of Bangkrua Police Station, held a meeting to coordinate efforts in locating the missing man.
Initial police inquiries revealed that Thamman did not take his mobile phone with him and was not wearing a tracking watch. The family denied any family conflicts or history of depression. CCTV footage from the neighborhood entrance showed him cycling out alone at around 4 a.m. Police have questioned his cycling group friends, checked hospitals, and contacted local police stations, but have found no leads so far.
Police Major Kittisak stated that there has been no contact from the missing man to his family. The police plan to call the family and his close cycling friends for additional questioning and will trace his bicycle route using surveillance cameras from before his disappearance. The police remain diligent in their search efforts following the missing persons report.
