Police searched the home of former Thai boxer Amnop Ruernreng in Sriracha after online rumors accused him of drug use. The operation found no illegal substances, only a bottle of liquor and a pack of cigarettes. Amnop said he only consumed alcohol and smoked cigarettes, denying any involvement with drugs.

Panjanont Wichitoth, chief of Sriracha Police Station, assigned investigators, volunteer police, and local village heads to inspect Amnop Ruernreng's residence in Moo 8, Surasak subdistrict, Sriracha, Chonburi, following online rumors about his alleged drug use. Amnop, a former Thai national amateur boxing team member and ex-IBF world flyweight champion (112 pounds), said he had been playing snooker with friends the previous day, then went to a boxing gym for training, returned home to rest, later went out with friends to buy liquor and food before returning to sleep. He admitted to drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes but insisted he had not used or dealt drugs. The thorough search revealed no narcotics, only a single liquor bottle and a cigarette pack.
