Police in Suphan Buri arrested a 28‑year‑old man after seizing approximately 600 kilograms of methamphetamine (ice) worth about 150 million baht. On October 5, 2025, Pol Lt Gen Phumin Phumphunmuang directed Pol Maj Gen Witthasit Borirak and Pol Col Mongkol Omsap of Narcotics Suppression Bureau to arrest Sinsuk, 28, who was driving a vehicle transporting drugs. Officers seized about 600 kg of ice (methamphetamine) and a pickup truck with license plate 2Khob 5998 Bangkok. The arrest took place roadside on Highway 3206 at Ban Khao Nam Daeng, Moo 21, Nong Makha Mong, Dan Chang, Suphan Buri. The operation stemmed from a tip that a large drug syndicate intended to use two cars to move narcotics from the Chiang Saen border in Chiang Rai along lower northern routes into central Thailand for handover to the Suphan Buri network. Police surveilled the suspects after spotting the two suspect vehicles passing a checkpoint in Ban Rai, Uthai Thani, and coordinated with Dan Chang police. They located a sedan with plate 1Khlo 6386 Bangkok parked at a Bangchak station in Nong Makha Mong, driven by Krittaya with Sinsuk as passenger; an initial search found no contraband. Officers then spread out to locate the second vehicle, finding the abandoned pickup at Dan Chang Hospital. After watching Sinsuk return to the truck and drive off, they tailed and arrested him on the highway. Inside the cab, police discovered 18 sacks holding roughly 600 kg of ice. Sinsuk was handed over to investigators; his accomplice Krittaya fled and is being pursued. Pol Lt Gen Phumin personally interrogated Sinsuk and ordered further investigation to expose the rest of the ring.
