Prayut Wachrasindhu, a list MP for Pheu Thai, addressed the Election Commission's order to investigate three additional cases involving orange-shirt senators and their alleged connection to his party. He stressed the need for consistent standards across all cases, saying that if there is credible evidence of legal violations regardless of political color, the Election Commission must act uniformly. He questioned why the Commission did not handle all cases within the same timeframe, noting decisions came only after September 14.
When asked if this constituted political retaliation, Prayut simply stated that facts are facts while reiterating the demand for equal treatment. He highlighted an Election Commission vote on September 14 that declined to prosecute Bhumjaithai Party leaders, including Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, by a 5-2 margin, with four of the five votes against prosecution coming from blue-shirt senators. He argued that if those with conflicts of interest were excluded, the three Election Commissioners not appointed by the current Senate would have voted in favor of prosecution.
Regarding allegations involving the Jupiter Room linked to Posts by Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, Pheu Thai party strategist, Prayut said he heard about it from Supchai Jaisamut, a Bhumjaithai MP, but could not elaborate in detail as he was not present at the event. He stated that those involved have a duty to clarify the matter to the public to dispel doubts.
