Burapha University Hosts PM's Youth Cup U15 Volleyball Eastern Region

The Faculty of Sports Science, Burapha University, co-hosted the Prime Minister's Youth Cup Volleyball U15 Eastern Regional Tournament to promote youth potential. The event took place on October 28, 2026, at the Burapha University Volleyball Gymnasium in Chonburi Province. Assistant Professor Dr. Virat Sonchan, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Science, presided over the opening ceremony, with Assistant Professor Dr. Panya Inthacharoen, Deputy Dean for Administration, delivering the opening report. Mr. Phirawat Mongkhonsin, Director of the Sports Authority of Thailand Chonburi Province, and Assistant Professor Pongsathon Kaewmani, Assistant to the President for Student Development and Alumni Relations, also attended the opening alongside distinguished guests, organizing committee members, officials, and youth volleyball athletes aged under 15.

The tournament is supported by the government through the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Sports Authority of Thailand, and the National Sports Development Fund, in collaboration with the Thailand Volleyball Association. It aims to encourage youth interest and access to sports from the grassroots level, developing skills and potential toward provincial, regional, and national levels, while serving as a key foundation for the country's continuous sports development.

Beyond the competition, faculty members, staff, and students of the Faculty of Sports Science participated in organizing the event, applying sports science knowledge to support activities and providing students with hands-on experience in event management, learning the competition organization process, and gaining practical experience working alongside faculty, staff, and relevant agencies. The Faculty of Sports Science, Burapha University, wishes all teams the best in showcasing their full potential and gaining valuable experience from this competition.
