Chonburi Youth Soccer Tournament Inspires Next Generation
Chonburi youth competed in a mini-football tournament on July 10 organized by PTT Station, with professional players including Thai Premier League striker Siraphop Wandi mentoring the next generation of aspiring footballers.
On July 10, 2025, PTT Station in An Sila-Phraya Satchcha, Chonburi hosted the "PTT Station Fuel Young Soccer Dreams" event, an initiative designed to inspire youth passionate about football by connecting them with professional players and renowned sports influencers.
The event featured a "mini-football" or "goal mouse" competition on artificial turf, with teams of three players competing in fast-paced, precision-based matches emphasizing teamwork. Regional champions advanced to a special final round with the opportunity to face professional national-level football teams.
Special guests included Siraphop Wandi, Chonburi FC striker and Thai Premier League standout who represented Thailand's U23 national team, and Chaturmongkol Rueangthanarojn, a rising left-back talent.
Four schools participated: An Sila Phitthayakham School, Chonburi Ratsadorn Amrung School, Phongsirivittaya School, and Muang Mai Chonburi Kindergarten. In the championship match, Chonburi Ratsadorn Amrung School dominated An Sila Phitthayakham School 11-1, claiming the title and a gold medal with 4,000 baht in educational funds. Runner-up An Sila Phitthayakham received silver and 3,000 baht, while Muang Mai Kindergarten took third place with bronze and 2,500 baht. Phongsirivittaya School finished fourth with 1,500 baht in educational support.
Atit Teepkrosukskam, An Sila Energy Station director, praised Chonburi's abundant athletic talent and emphasized how sports build both physical strength and sportsmanship.
Guest Chaturmongkol expressed excitement witnessing young players' potential, noting that many professional footballers emerge from small local pitches. He encouraged young athletes to persevere through disappointment, remembering their early passion for the game as motivation to achieve their goals.
Siraphop commended the disciplined trainees developing daily, offering his support to young players committed to self-improvement.
