"Calming the mind means putting it in its proper place," a blessed dhamma teaching from Luang Por Cha Suphatto of Wat Nong Pa Pong, Ubon Ratchathani.
Looking back to 1975, Nai Rian Numdi, the Civil Defense Commander of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, was about to retire and return to his hometown in Doem Bang Nang Buat District, Suphan Buri. Seeing the dilapidated temple near his home, he intended to help restore it. Therefore, "Luang Pu Du Prompanya" of Wat Sakae, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, a famous former ecclesiastical official, had the sacred object "Phra Pidta Maha Lap Jaturaphitthaprachai" created to raise renovation funds and built the Jaturaphitthaprachai Vihara as intended.
Phra Pidta Luang Pu Du
The consecration ceremony took place at Wat Ratchanachai (Wat Chin), Mueang District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, on June 1, 1975. Made of special powdered material, measuring approximately 3 x 3.5 centimeters. The front features a Buddha image seated in diamond meditation posture. The back bears Luang Pu Du's sacred yant characters and numerals. Luang Pu Du personally oversaw the design and performed solitary empowerment for a full month. It is considered Luang Pu Du's sacred object and gained widespread popularity.
Luang Pu Bua Temiyo, former abbot of Wat Lak Silamongkol, Moo 16, Phra Klang Thung Subdistrict, That Phanom District, Nakhon Phanom, a famous meditation master of Nakhon Phanom. Back in 1975, his disciples created sacred coins as mementos for those paying respects, with proceeds for temple development. The coins are egg-shaped with suspension loops, made of 99 pieces in 99% gold, 300 in silver, and 5,000 in bronze.
