Residents Alarmed After Man in Joker Mask with Machine Gun Ammunition Belts Spotted at Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market in Talad Noi Area
On May 18, 2025, Deputy Inspector Apicha Kram Suengern of Talad Noi Police Station and officers investigated reports of a suspicious man wearing a gold Joker mask and carrying two machine gun ammunition belts at Khlong Lat Mayom floating market over safety concerns. The incident was reported at 4:40 p.m. on May 17.
Officers discovered the man was wearing ammunition belt accessories that were found to be toy items sold at ordinary toy shops. The man also had a gold bicycle decorated with gold bullet casings.
Upon questioning, the man was identified as a Tha Phra district resident who regularly cycles around and consistently favors this style of dress. Local residents reported frequently seeing him cycling to temple events and community gatherings.
On that day, the man came to rest at the floating market to relax and was checking his phone when a vigilant tourist noticed him and called the 191 emergency line due to safety concerns. Officers subsequently conducted their investigation.
Khlong Lat Mayom floating market maintains regular police patrols of the area and has volunteer police and security personnel stationed throughout all operating hours on weekends. Police confirmed the tourist attraction is safe for visitors and patrons, as Talad Noi Police Station strictly follows current police leadership directives.
