On the morning of August 23, 2026, Luang Pu Chue Phan Muditto, the temple's abbot and a respected teacher in the vipassana meditation tradition, passed away in his quarters. According to initial reports from the village headman of Hua Nong, he fell in the bathroom around 4:00 a.m. When his attendants found him, he was lying on his bed and had already passed away.
