Rotthang Faces Nong O in ONE Flyweight Grand Prix Semifinal
Former champions Rotthang and Nong O clash in the ONE Flyweight Grand Prix semifinal on November 13 at Lumpinee Stadium, with the winner advancing to the championship final.
ONE Championship has announced a landmark matchup in the ONE Muay Thai World Grand Prix flyweight division (125–135 lbs.) semifinal preliminary round, featuring former champions Rotthang Jitmueangnon and Nong O Hamma Thai Boxing at The Inner Circle 38 on Friday, November 13, 2026, at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium (Ramintra branch). The event will stream exclusively to members on Live.ONEFC.com from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with the winner advancing to the championship final.
Rotthang and Nong O are legendary fighters celebrated for their success in ONE's history. They were originally scheduled to meet at ONE 173 in November 2025 to contest the vacant ONE Muay Thai flyweight title, but the fight never occurred when Rotthang became suddenly ill and required hospitalization, while Nong O missed weight, forcing both to be removed from the card.
Since then, significant developments have unfolded. Rotthang shifted to kickboxing and faced former rival Takeru from Japan, knocking him out in just 80 seconds, only to suffer a shocking knockout loss to Takeru in a comeback fight at ONE Samurai 1 in April 2026. Rotthang, currently ranked No. 2 in ONE's flyweight Muay Thai rankings, recently renewed his contract with ONE in July and now seeks to reclaim victory and restore faith from fans. Nong O previously challenged for the vacant ONE Muay Thai flyweight belt at ONE Lumpinee 147 in March 2026 but was knocked out in the second round by Russia's Assadullah Imankazazaev. He has since rebuilt confidence with a unanimous decision victory over Kongthani S. Sommai in a trilogy bout at The Inner Circle 20 in June. Despite approaching his late thirties and ranked No. 3 in the flyweight rankings, Nong O remains hungry for success and is prepared to overcome the fierce Rotthang to advance to the final round.
