SARABURI — On July 8, 2026, police in Saraburi arrested a 42-year-old man accused of attacking two officers with an iron bar following a viral social media video of the incident.

The attack occurred on the evening of July 6 outside Jikko Saraburi, a rice porridge restaurant on Phichai Road near the irrigation canal route toward Sao Hai district in Pak Phriao subdistrict, Mueang Saraburi district.

A Facebook video posted by user "Madame Mam" showed a shirtless man in shorts running across the road before confronting two patrol officers from Mueang Saraburi Police Station. The suspect allegedly struck one officer, causing him to fall, then chased and attacked another officer before fleeing into darkness.

Mueang Saraburi Police issued a public alert identifying the suspect as Mr. Bee Sae Ho, 42, described as approximately 160 centimetres tall with a medium build, often seen shirtless and wearing shorts in the municipal area. Police obtained a court warrant for his arrest.

On the evening of July 7, residents reported sightings of a man matching the description in Nong Saeng district. After reviewing CCTV footage, police tracked the suspect to a roadside pavilion and arrested him around 23:00 on July 7. During questioning, the suspect provided inconsistent answers. A urine test showed no narcotics.

The suspect faces charges of assaulting officials while performing their duties, resisting or obstructing officials by force while armed, and damaging property.

Rescue workers found the girl, identified as "Nam" (alias), approximately 14 months old, with tire marks across her face and severe swelling. She remained unconscious without a pulse. At the scene, police found a blue Isuzu pickup truck with Chon Buri registration. The 70-year-old owner and driver, identified as Mr. Nimit (surname withheld), explained that he had been driving the pickup when he spotted the child's grandmother sitting by the road. He turned into the property to greet her, unaware that the 14-month-old was sitting in a stroller nearby. As he turned in, his front wheel struck the girl's head.
