Screaming! Man Wears Transparent Jacket Packed with Live Cockroaches
A man wearing a transparent jacket filled with live cockroaches sparked viral outrage on a New York City subway, accumulating 2.8 million views as passengers reacted with shock while he remained seemingly unbothered by the insects crawling
A spine-chilling viral moment erupted when a young woman accidentally encountered a man dressed bizarrely on a New York City subway platform, never imagining the encounter would become a clip discussed worldwide online.
Michelle Rohas Blackett, a 31-year-old human resources employee, recounted that she was commuting home as usual before noticing a man standing at Spring Street station wearing an odd-looking jacket that made her do a double-take.
When she looked more closely, she was taken aback—the jacket was transparent and completely filled with "live cockroaches" crawling visibly all over the garment.
The recorded video shows the man standing completely still, displaying no signs of surprise or discomfort, contrasting sharply with surrounding passengers who were staring, some shocked, some laughing, and many utterly stunned.
"He didn't seem bothered at all," Blackett recounted, adding that no one at the scene knew what to do about what was happening in front of them.
The video was quickly shared online and racked up 2.8 million views and tens of thousands of likes, becoming yet another viral content piece from the New York City subway that immediately grabbed attention.
However, what made this clip different was the viewers' reaction—it wasn't just humorous but filled with discomfort and serious debate. Opinions were divided among those who felt disgusted, those who found it oddly cool, and some who questioned the appropriateness and welfare of the live creatures.
Ultimately, no one knows what message this man was trying to convey, what his attitude was, whether it was art, performance, or simply personal behavior. But one thing is certain—he has already become an "internet memory" online. And naturally, the cockroaches haven't offered any comments.
