Stolen Motorcycle Intercepted Near Cambodia Border in Satat
Military forces seized a stolen Honda motorcycle near the Thailand-Cambodia border in Sa Taw Province after the rider fled into Cambodia during a patrol operation on August 4.
At 2 p.m. on August 4, 2025, military personnel from Operations Unit 2 of the Eastern Forces Command, working with Unit 1301 and local administration, conducted border patrol operations in Tambon Phan Saeng, Amphoe Aran Prathet, Sa Taw Province to prevent illegal cross-border activity.
During their inspection near a natural border crossing between checkpoints 68–69 in Ban Nong Pruae, officers encountered a suspicious man with a motorcycle parked near the Thai-Cambodian border. Upon seeing the officials, the man immediately abandoned the motorcycle and fled across into Cambodia. Officers were unable to pursue and apprehend him but successfully seized the vehicle.
Investigation revealed the bike to be a gray Honda ADV 350 with no license plate and no documentation of ownership. A search of the storage compartment found no illegal items or vehicle documents. After transfer to investigators at Khlong Nom Sai Police Station, a background check determined the motorcycle had been reported stolen from Ban Chang, Rayong. Authorities contacted the owner, who is scheduled to retrieve the vehicle on the morning of August 5, 2025. This successful interdiction prevented the motorcycle from being illegally smuggled into Cambodia.
