His son, Pun Phaniangyuet, general manager of Thai President Foods, announced memorial services through a personal Facebook post stating: "Don't worry, dad. Our family loves each other, we're united, we care for each other, just as you wanted. Rest easy now, no more hardship." Piphatt Phaniangyuet was considered a pioneering leader and key figure in the Suthep Group.
