The Boxing Association of Thailand hosted a celebration for "Focus" Police Lance Corporal Natthaporn Jongprong after she captured the women's 54kg boxing gold at the 20th Asian Games, earning a 3 million baht bonus. The event aimed to reward her dedication and historic achievement as the association's first female Asian Games champion. Police Lieutenant General Sanan Nuallama, association technical development chair and national police deputy commissioner, announced plans to promote her to police sub-lieutenant in recognition of her service to the country. Natthaporn credited her success to intense training and vowed to continue pursuing an Olympic berth. She will allocate 900,000 baht of the prize to teammates and bank the rest prudently. She and her team face four more competitions this year before the first Olympic qualifier in Kazakhstan next April, a key step toward the 2028 Olympics.
