Thai Football Association Appoints Coach Bo Chakrapan as Head Coach of Thailand U-20 National Team
The Football Association of Thailand has officially named Coach Bo Chakrapan Panpee as the head coach of the Thailand U-20 national football team. The appointment comes as the young squad prepares for major international competitions, including the AFC U-20 Championship in Indonesia in June 2026 and the AFC U-20 Asian Championship qualifiers in August-September 2026. Chakrapan brings decades of Thai football experience as a coach and former national team player.
The Football Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage has officially appointed "Coach Bo" Chakrapan Panpee as head coach of the Thailand U-20 men's national football team.
The Thailand U-20 men's team has an intensive competitive schedule beginning with the AFC U-20 Championship in North Sumatra, Indonesia from June 1-14, 2026, followed by the AFC U-20 Asian Championship qualifying round from August 31 to September 6, 2026.
The association also thanked Rayong FC, Chakrapan's club, for allowing the technical staff to discuss and evaluate coaching candidates holding an AFC Pro License who are dedicated to elevating Thailand's U-20 team in international competitions after completing their club responsibilities.
Coach Bo brings extensive experience in Thai football through his work as a head coach, assistant coach, and club manager at numerous clubs including Chonburi FC, Ang Thong FC, Phan Thong FC, Samut Prakan City, Utha Thani FC, and Rayong FC. He previously served as assistant coach for Thailand's U-17 national team under Piphop Anumalee, helping the team reach the Asian Championship quarterfinals when Thailand hosted the tournament. As a player, he competed for Chonburi FC and was selected for Thailand's U-23 national team.
