Thai Herbal Company Delivers Flood Aid to Prachinburi Communities

Hong Thai, a Thai herbal company, dispatched a relief team for four days in early October 2024 to deliver food, water, and essential supplies to flood‑affected households and evacuation centers in Prachinburi Province. The effort covered the Ban Phluang and Bang Pla Ra areas of Ban Sang district, reaching families forced to live upstairs while their ground floors remained submerged. Company founder Thheerapong Rabopnat emphasized the mission to bring aid directly to those unable to access distribution points due to the high waters.

"Hong Thai" sent a relief team for four consecutive days to flood victims, delivering relief packages and essential supplies to homes and evacuation centers in Prachinburi amid high floodwaters. Many families remain on upper floors while ground floors are submerged. Hong Thai rushed to provide food, drinking water, and necessities to ease suffering and boost morale.

The company, Thai Herbal Hong Thai Limited, led by founder Thheerapong Rabopnat, deployed relief teams from October 9–12, 2024 (2569 Buddhist year). They operated in Ban Phluang and Bang Pla Ra subdistricts, Ban Sang district, including distributing aid at the Wat Nong Ngoo Liowm evacuation center.

Over the four days, the team prepared and delivered relief packs containing rice, canned fish, instant noodles, chili paste, eggs, drinking water, and Hong Thai herbal inhaler formula No. 1 to meet basic needs and alleviate hardship.

Floodwaters remain high; many households still await assistance. Water has filled the ground floors, forcing residents to stay upstairs. Travel is difficult, and some cannot reach aid distribution points on their own.

Thus the relief team delivered supplies directly to households and supported evacuees at the center, ensuring aid reached both those staying home and those who had evacuated.

In addition to food and essentials, clean drinking water is crucial for flood-affected residents. Hong Thai provided drinking water to sustain lives while movement and access to supplies remain limited.

Thheerapong Rabopnat said: “We must try to bring help to those who are suffering.” He added: “Seeing the situation on the ground, many of our fellow citizens are still living in difficult conditions. Some homes have floodwater reaching the ceiling of the first floor, yet families have to stay on the second floor and cannot normally come out to receive aid. What we can do now is bring essential items—food, water, and products we can support—directly to those in need, whether they remain in their homes or are in shelters. We want everyone to know that there are people who care and are ready to help.”

Hong Thai continues to stand alongside Thais during difficult times, reflecting the company’s intention to share what it can with those facing distress, aiming to reach both flooded homes and evacuation centers. The company believes that sharing food, water, and essential items during a crisis is a vital support that eases hardship and encourages families to overcome the situation.

Rayong Coral Hatchery Releases Larvae Amid Low Survival Odds

Researchers at the Koh Mun Nai hatchery in Rayong are breeding coral from reproductive cells to boost genetic diversity and resilience, aiming to release larvae back into Thai seas despite a survival rate of just one in a million. The project relies on careful monitoring, natural algae‑controlling species, and strict water‑temperature control, with each coral needing up to five years to grow to a releasable size. Success depends on overcoming predation, bleaching, and rising temperatures.
