Pook Orrapha Senatham, Thailand's national jujitsu athlete, expressed delight after securing a historic gold medal in the women's under-63kg category at the Asian Games. She advanced to the final against Enrique Alexandria Luis of the Philippines, winning a closely contested match to claim Thailand's first-ever jujitsu gold at the Games and the nation's 16th overall medal. After the bout, Orrapha said she had aimed only to reach the final, not expecting gold, especially after facing tough opponents including Asian Beach and Asian Games champions, and noted that her previous loss in the 2026 Asian Beach Games motivated her preparation.
