Ratchasima Witthayalai School's traditional drum and marching band has brought honor to Thailand by winning two championships at the European Music Contest 2026 in Germany. The all-boys school from Nakhon Ratchasima province, which holds the title of Thailand's national champion in traditional drum competitions under the patronage of the monarchy, was selected to represent the country at two major international music competitions: the European Music Contest 2026 in Germany and the World Music Contest 2026 in the Netherlands, held between June 30 and July 14, 2026. On July 4, 2026, school director Nisit Songsuk announced that the band competed in two categories at the European Music Contest in Rastatt, Germany, and triumphed in both: the Drumline Battle championship and the WMC Marching championship. The band will next compete in the parade category on July 5, 2026, before traveling to Kerkrade, Netherlands, to participate in the World Music Contest 2026 between July 8-14, 2026.
