The national high school band competition The Power Band has announced that Prepare University High School, from Bangkok, has won the championship title at The Power Band 2026 Season 6 finals. The band impressed judges with their musical talent, creativity, and performance, earning the top prize and the opportunity to record a single with a professional music producer.
This year's competition introduced a dedicated high school category for the first time, selecting 16 finalist bands from 284 entries nationwide. Winners also gain admission to The Power Band Music Camp 2026, an exclusive program designed to deepen musical knowledge and develop performance skills. The competition, held under the theme "Infinite Music Possibilities," is organized by King Power Thailand in partnership with Mahidol University's College of Music, seven leading Thai record labels, and major music industry partners. Total prize money exceeds 1.5 million baht. The competition aims to create opportunities for Thai youth to showcase their talents and build a vibrant music community that strengthens Thailand's music industry.
