A 51-year-old man from Udon Thani's Chaiyawan District filed an assault complaint with police after being punched in the face by his 50-year-old ex-partner on June 29 around 2 a.m. The incident occurred when the man, intoxicated and lonely, showed up at the house uninvited. When he insisted on going upstairs despite being told to leave, he was struck and required three stitches at the local hospital.

The man initially pursued charges but later softened his stance, expressing a desire to reconcile with his ex-partner. He agreed to drop the case in exchange for 3,000 baht compensation (1,000 per stitch) and an apology.
