Thai soldiers responded with five warning shots as a standard safety measure. Cambodian forces did not return fire, and the situation quickly returned to normal. The Second Army Region confirmed that Thai forces remained safe and Cambodian troops made no counter-response. Thai troops continue close monitoring and cautious operations in the area. Since April 2025, Cambodian troops have caused 19 incidents of gunfire and explosions along the border, particularly near Huay Tamaria and Khong Kanam.
