Environment Minister Suchat Chomklin announced that the government has tasked the Pollution Control Department (PCD) with coordinating multi-sector cooperation to urgently address waste management at the Phutap Boek-Khao Kho tourism area in Phetchabun province. The effort aims to preserve the integrity of the watershed, reduce environmental impact, and improve the quality of Thailand's tourist attractions. Suchat noted that both sites currently experience heavy tourist traffic, resulting in continuous increases in waste volume. Efficient waste management—including source separation, waste reduction, and proper disposal—will help conserve natural resources, reduce pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, and build a positive image for Thailand's tourism sector. Dr. Surin Vorakitdamrong, director-general of the PCD, stated that the department is coordinating with local government organizations, communities, and local business operators to implement systematic waste management. The initiative promotes source-level waste separation and community and business participation, positioning Phutap Boek–Khao Kho as a model low-carbon tourism destination. The director-general added that this effort will improve quality of life for local residents, reduce the waste management burden on local administrative organizations, maintain cleanliness and beauty of the tourist sites, build tourist confidence, generate long-term income for communities, and advance Thailand's sustainable development that balances growth with conservation of natural resources and the environment.

The cabinet has green-lighted the establishment of a "Data Center Business Policy Committee" to manage energy and environmental impacts while welcoming investment in this emerging industry, emphasizing that business operations must deliver genuine benefits to the country. Government spokesperson Ratchada Thanadirek explained that Thailand's policy aims to elevate economic and social potential through the digital economy, requiring updated investment promotion systems to support target industries—particularly data centers, a future-focused sector attracting substantial foreign investor attention.

However, to ensure such operations truly benefit economic development without compromising energy security, resource management (water, electricity, land, environment), or national data security, clear policies and guidelines are necessary. The cabinet therefore approved the draft regulation establishing a "Data Center Business Policy Committee," as submitted by Deputy Prime Minister Pakaorn Nilpraphan.

The committee will comprise a deputy PM as chair; three cabinet ministers (Digital Economy and Society, Interior, and Energy) as vice chairs; twelve government officials including permanent secretaries from Finance, Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment, Energy, and Interior ministries, plus heads of the National Water Resources Office and Energy Policy Office; and up to three expert advisors appointed by the PM.

The committee will propose policies, standards, and frameworks for state agencies to approve, permit, or provide services to data center operators, while studying and monitoring the business's environmental and resource impacts. Its focus areas include clean energy use, energy security, fair energy pricing, equitable water allocation, efficient electricity and water usage, urban planning, public safety (especially fire prevention), data security, environmental and community impact mitigation, and carbon neutrality frameworks.

Officials are preparing to declare Ban Wang Charoen a disaster zone following the discovery of seven sinkholes. Geologists from the Regional Mineral Resources Office examined the sinkholes, each averaging 4–5 meters deep, and found them to be circular soil collapses with underlying cavities. According to Orouma Summat, director of the Regional Mineral Resources Office, the collapses are not expanding and can be repaired through simple infilling. The geologist explained that the sinkholes result from millions-of-years-old rock layers affected by tectonic plate collisions, which create stress cracks across the northeast region. Residents can observe warning signs such as air bubbles emerging from the ground before collapse occurs. Local farmer Ranong Khephwang, who owns more than four rai of land, reported noticing air bubbles while transplanting rice seedlings and expressed concern about potential danger. In 1980, Phra Thep Ratnamoli, the former abbot of Wat Phrathat Phanom, commissioned the creation of the "Phrathat Phanom Protective Amulet" coin in approximately 10,000 pieces to distribute to devotees and government agencies. The coin features a distinctive reliquary design with protective nagas flanking the inscription, detailed line work, and the monk's signature on the reverse with Thai map imagery and sacred yantra symbols.

Luang Pu Phan Pannyapatipo's first-edition amulet coin from 1978, produced by Chinese businessman Siam Ho, remains highly collectible among devotees. Created in 4,200 pieces, the oval-shaped coin displays the revered meditation master seated in full lotus on the obverse, with protective yantra symbols and detailed inscriptions honoring the respected forest monk from Sakon Nakhon province.
