On July 9, 2026, the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA) published Thailand’s Draft Artificial Intelligence Act (Draft AI Act) for public consultation. While the legislation remains subject to further revision, the draft provides a clear indication of Thailand’s future regulatory direction for AI and introduces a risk-based framework for the development, deployment and use of AI systems.
