BANGKOK — The Thailand Space Expo 2026 will take place at ICONSIAM from October 28 to 31, offering free admission and a chance to explore space technology, including an opportunity to meet a Japanese astronaut, organisers say. The Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, is organising the four‑day event as part of Thailand’s ambition to become a leading space hub in Southeast Asia. One of the main attractions will be the opportunity to meet and interact with a Japanese astronaut, who will share first‑hand experiences of living and working in space, according to GISTDA. Visitors will also be able to see space technology components such as rockets and satellites and learn about their applications beyond space exploration. The expo will showcase how satellite technology can support resource management, carbon credit assessment and sustainable development, as well as emerging economic opportunities linked to the water, blue and green economies. The event is aimed at the general public, young people, aspiring space enthusiasts and industry professionals, with interactive activities designed to introduce visitors to space technology and its potential applications. Thailand Space Expo 2026 will be held at ICONSIAM Hall on the seventh floor of ICONSIAM in Bangkok. Admission is free.
