Thailand Stimulus Program Hits 432 Billion Baht in First Month
Thailand's Thai Help Thai Plus subsidy program generated 432.18 billion baht in spending during its first month, with over 26 million citizens receiving government support through the 60/40 cost-sharing scheme.
The Office of the Permanent Secretary of Finance released data on the Thai Help Thai Plus (60/40) subsidy program for its opening month between June 1-30, 2025. A total of 26.04 million eligible citizens participated, generating 432.18 billion baht in spending across the program. The government's share of expenses reached 248.11 billion baht (60%), while citizens contributed 184.06 billion baht (40%). Approximately 25.68 million people completed transactions, while 1.03 million merchants processed successful payments. An additional 12.4 million participants fully spent their 1,000 baht allocation. Currently, 1,073,146 merchants have registered for the program, comprising 880,000 existing businesses and 192,000 newly registered shops.
