TMD Warns of Heavy Rain, Strong Winds, Flash Floods Nationwide
The Thai Meteorological Department warns of heavy rain, strong winds, and flash flood risks nationwide from Oct 30 to Nov 6, with rough seas exceeding two meters in the Gulf and Andaman.
The Thai Meteorological Department released its seven-day regional forecast on October 30, 2026, covering October 30 through November 6.
General Outlook October 30 – November 6, 2026
From October 31 to November 1, Thailand will experience thundershowers, especially in the Central region including Bangkok and its vicinity, the Eastern region, and the Southern region. Heavy rain is expected in parts of the east coast of the South due to a high-pressure system or cold air mass from China covering upper Thailand, while the South China Sea weakens but continues to feed easterly winds across Thailand and the Gulf.
From November 2 to 6, the weather will turn volatile with thundershowers, strong gusts, and heavy rain in some areas as the high-pressure system or cold air mass from China extends to cover the North, the Northeast, and the South China Sea. Additionally, from November 3 to 5, an easterly wave will move across the lower Northeast, the East, the Central region including Bangkok, the Gulf, and the South. In the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea, areas with thundershowers will see waves higher than two meters throughout the period.
Precautions
From November 2 to 6, the public is advised to stay alert to dangers from thundershowers and strong gusts, avoid open areas, large trees, and unstable billboards, and beware of heavy and accumulated rainfall that may trigger flash floods, forest runoff, and landslides — particularly in foothill areas near waterways and low-lying zones.
Mariners in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea should check routes, proceed with caution, and avoid sailing in areas with thundershowers throughout the period.
