Bangkok, 10 August 2026 – Ahead of the inaugural edition of Tomorrowland Thailand this December, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) proudly introduced hundreds of thousands of festivalgoers at Tomorrowland Belgium to the rich culture, creativity and hospitality of Thailand through the Amazing Thailand Sanctuary. The activation marked the first step in welcoming the People of Tomorrow to Thailand, where the festival will write its first Asian chapter from 11–13 December 2026 at Wisdom Valley near Pattaya.

At Tomorrowland Belgium 2026, the Amazing Thailand Sanctuary invited festivalgoers to discover the spirit of Thailand through the Sabai Sabai Route. Across both festival weekends, visitors experienced authentic Thai culture through traditional performances, regional flavours, wellness rituals and immersive storytelling, offering a first glimpse of what awaits at Tomorrowland Thailand.

Daily showcases from Central, Northern and Northeastern Thailand featured traditional dance, drumming and participatory rituals, alongside Thai-inspired cuisine and cocktails, incense blessings, gong ceremonies and a spectacular Mainstage viewpoint. Thousands of visitors also received traditional blessing bracelets as a symbol of good fortune and connection, while discovering Thailand’s unique blend of heritage and contemporary creativity.

Presented under the new global theme Consciencia, Tomorrowland Thailand will feature six immersive stages combining world-class production with storytelling inspired by the festival’s newest universe. The event will bring together the unmistakable Tomorrowland experience with Thailand’s rich culture, warm hospitality and creative spirit, opening an exciting new chapter for Asia.

Tomorrowland Thailand will take place from 11–13 December 2026 at Wisdom Valley near Pattaya, bringing together music, culture and people from around the world in a celebration of unity, creativity and unforgettable shared experiences.

At 11:20 a.m. on August 10 at Santitham Building, Government House, Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Chauyvarakul, speaking as Bhumjaithai party leader, addressed rumors that ten MPs from the opposition Palang Pracharath would join his party. He responded with a question: "Where did these green snakes come from?" and shook his head, saying he did not want them.

When asked if he currently needed opposition defectors, Anutin laughed and said he knew nothing about green snakes or any snakes—it was only what reporters mentioned, and he had not heard the news himself. When asked about senior Pheu Thai party members and MPs posting messages suggesting a coordinated attack after his earlier post about hitting one's head against a wall, Anutin laughed and said: "They've jumped again! I wasn't even talking about them. People need to be mindful and conscious. I wasn't talking about anyone. Why they jump at things, I don't know. I was talking about myself."

Asked whether he would respond, Anutin said to stay calm and act with mindfulness. When pressed about this morning's Facebook post where he shared teachings from Chavaratana Chauyyvarakul touching on awareness and perspective, Anutin traced the origin of his phrase "live well, cool enough, wait to succeed." He said it was not new—he did not understand why people were making a fuss. As someone who has played on Facebook and social media for a long time, he has friends who share his posts, and he cannot control it. Some may think he is talking about specific people, but he never does. He only speaks about himself as his guide for living, and he does not see what he said was wrong.

Krungsri Consumer revealed that first-half credit card spending reached 196.7 billion baht, growing 3% year-on-year, with 284,100 new customer accounts up 4%. Fashion and cosmetics spending has slowed, reflecting consumers' prioritization amid economic uncertainty. Installment payment options are growing in popularity, especially for travel, health and beauty, and veterinary services. For the second half, the company expects continued economic challenges from high living costs and weak consumer confidence, but aims to achieve 627,000 new customer accounts (+9%), credit card spending of 420 billion baht (+6%), and new loans of 98 billion baht (+4%) for the full year by developing payment innovations, expanding partnerships, and targeting high-net-worth customers.

The Bhum Jai Thai party registrar confirmed that former Nonthaburi MP Chalor Riowrang left the party after holding membership in several political parties before the shocking shooting incident. Former Nonthaburi MP Chalor Riowrang opened fire on Pol. Lt. Col. Thongchai Yen-Prasert, the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization chairman, injuring both him and his driver outside the PAO office. The shooting stemmed from personal disputes and a financial matter involving 11 million baht, as previously reported. As of August 10, 2569, Trisulee Trisornkul, Secretary to the Prime Minister and registrar of Bhum Jai Thai party, disclosed that Chalor Riowrang submitted his resignation letter dated May 27, 2567. Chalor previously ran as a parliamentary candidate for Bhum Jai Thai in 2566 (2023) but lost that election. Chalor Riowrang served as Nonthaburi MP multiple times and held membership in various political parties, most recently in Palang Pracharath.

On August 10, 2025, the Geological Disaster Operations Center under the Department of Mineral Resources issued an alert for landslides and flash floods in high-risk areas experiencing continuous heavy rainfall. Eight provinces are at particular risk: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Nan, Uttaradit, Tak, Kanchanaburi, and Prachuap Khiri Khan.

According to the Meteorological Department's 24-hour forecast, Thailand will experience further heavy rainfall in some areas due to a monsoon trough passing over the upper northern region and northern Laos, combined with a strengthening southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand. The public in affected areas should be alert to the dangers of heavy to very heavy rainfall and accumulated precipitation, which may trigger flash floods and flash flooding, particularly in hilly terrain near waterways and in low-lying areas.

The department is requesting community volunteers in high-risk zones to closely monitor conditions and prepare to respond to potential geological disasters. If a geological disaster occurs, officials must inspect the affected area promptly to reassure residents and provide initial guidance.
