Ex-Nonthaburi MP Withdraws From Bhum Jai Thai Party in 2567
Former Nonthaburi MP Chalor Riowrang resigned from Bhum Jai Thai party in May 2567, months before he allegedly shot a provincial administrator and driver over a financial dispute involving 11 million baht.
The Bhum Jai Thai party registrar confirmed that former Nonthaburi MP Chalor Riowrang left the party after holding membership in several political parties before the shocking shooting incident. Former Nonthaburi MP Chalor Riowrang opened fire on Pol. Lt. Col. Thongchai Yen-Prasert, the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization chairman, injuring both him and his driver outside the PAO office. The shooting stemmed from personal disputes and a financial matter involving 11 million baht, as previously reported. As of August 10, 2569, Trisulee Trisornkul, Secretary to the Prime Minister and registrar of Bhum Jai Thai party, disclosed that Chalor Riowrang submitted his resignation letter dated May 27, 2567. Chalor previously ran as a parliamentary candidate for Bhum Jai Thai in 2566 (2023) but lost that election. Chalor Riowrang served as Nonthaburi MP multiple times and held membership in various political parties, most recently in Palang Pracharath.
