Chon Buri — Phanudech Kha-Ikai, 22, reported that he and his older cousin were pursued and attacked by approximately 6-7 teenagers on the evening of July 20 while riding their motorcycle near home. One attacker wielded a firearm and threatened them, while others threw bottles as the gang chased them on motorcycles, boxing them in from front and back. Fearing they would be shot, the brothers abandoned their bike, drew a knife for defense, and ultimately jumped a barrier to escape with their lives. CCTV footage partially captured the attack, which they reported to Pattaya City police.
The incident appears connected to a previous dispute involving one gang member who had pursued the older brother's girlfriend days earlier. Although the two sides had reportedly resolved the matter just one day before the attack, the gang apparently sought revenge. The brothers are determined to press charges and have urged police to apprehend the suspects quickly and pursue the case to its fullest extent.
