A 47-year-old resident from Mueang District, Buriram Province, celebrated successful registration for the Thailand Helps Thailand Plus 60/40 program on May 25, 2569, after staying awake from midnight until 6 a.m. The woman said the all-nighter was worth it, as her family qualified for all three benefits available, noting that registration was smoother than previous rounds.
At Buriram Municipality fresh market, vendors expressed similar joy at completing their registrations quickly, contrasting with previous rounds when they anxiously awaited confirmation. A fish vendor who started waiting at 5 a.m. said she hopes the program will revitalize the economy and boost business after recent economic slowdown. However, she remains uncertain about the program's actual impact, given that prices and living costs remain high, and will wait to see if it truly encourages consumer spending.
The vendor acknowledged that it's positive the government recognizes people's hardship and has introduced measures to help during this economic slowdown.
