Sixteen under-14 youth football teams from Thailand, Japan, and Malaysia will compete in the Yinten U-14 Asean Dream Football Tournament 2026 from July 23–26 at VERSO International School's two FIFA-standard pitches. The event aims to develop young footballers' technical skills and international experience while nurturing talent for higher-level competition and promoting regional friendship.
The tournament, which began in 2014 under the leadership of Masao Kiba, former professional J-League footballer and current J-League ambassador for Asia, is organized in partnership with Thailand's Football Association of Thailand (FAT) and Japan's Dream Football Association (JDFA). Corporate sponsor Morihita Yinten (Japan) provides primary financial support.
Eleven Thai teams are participating, including four from leading academies—Assumption United, Assumption College Sriracha, Debsirin School, and Bangkok Christian College—and seven from top clubs: Port FC, Thakham Chonburi FC, Muangthong United, Chiangrai United, Rajnavy FC, Prime FC, and Ratchaburi FC. Japan sends four teams: Albirex Niigata, Kamatamare Sanuki, Shiga Select, and Ehime FC. Malaysia's Johor Darul Ta'zim FC rounds out the 16-team field.
The tournament format divides all 16 teams into four groups of four, with each team playing all others in their group. The top two teams from each group advance to the semi-finals, while third and fourth-place teams compete in ranking matches to determine final standings under rules set by the organizing committee and the national football association.
