Amateur Boxing Association Sends Thai Boxers to Netherlands to Gain Experience Before 2026 Asian Games
Thai national boxers will compete in the Netherlands in May 2026 to gain international experience before the Asian Games in Japan later that year.
The Amateur Boxing Association of Thailand is sending Thai national team boxers to compete in the "Eindhoven Box Cup 2026 European Boxing Gold Tournament" in Eindhoven, Netherlands, from May 20-27, 2026, to build international experience and prepare for the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan (September 19 – October 4). The male boxers competing include Grungpree Bokuntod (55kg), Thanaponsak Kalaseeram and Apichat Chamdee (60kg), and Veerapol Chongjorhaw (80kg). The female team is led by Lt. Chudomart Ruksatya (51kg), Nattnicha Chongprongkhlang (54kg), Thananya Somnuek (60kg), and Lt. Chanthacham Suwannapheng, a 2024 Olympic bronze medalist (65kg). The association expects this competition to strengthen Thai boxers both physically and tactically at the international level ahead of the 2026 Asian Games in Japan.
