The National Anti-Corruption Commission held a unanimous vote on August 19, 2025, approving Nitti Panjawatra, the current deputy secretary-general of the anti-corruption agency, to take up the position of secretary-general. He will replace Suraphong Intharathaworn, who is retiring from government service this year. The anti-corruption office announced a recruitment committee on June 16, 2025, to find a replacement secretary-general. Two candidates applied for the role: Nitti Panjawatra and Colonel Chatchanop Pudungkan. Both candidates were interviewed and presented their vision to the selection panel on August 11, 2025.
