Army Commander Reassigns Senior Officers to Leadership Posts
Thai Army commander reshuffles senior officers across deputy and staff positions to streamline headquarters operations, with assignments effective October 1.
On September 17, General Pana Klai-Plod-Thuk, commander of the Royal Thai Army, signed Army Command Order 1508/69 concerning the duties of deputy commanders, chief of staff, and deputy chiefs of staff. The order, issued to streamline administrative operations at Army headquarters, assigns the following responsibilities:
General Nortip Poy-Nok, serving as deputy commander (1), oversees logistics and supply operations. General Sarawut Chaiyasit, serving as deputy commander (2), manages personnel affairs. General Awut Phuttamnuay, serving as chief of staff, handles intelligence and foreign affairs in the operations division.
Major General Natthadej Chantarangsuk serves as deputy chief of staff (1), overseeing personnel operations. Major General Theeranan Nantkhwang serves as deputy chief of staff (2), managing intelligence and foreign affairs. Major General Pongsak Muanklamhaan serves as deputy chief of staff (3), overseeing operations. Major General Sompol Parathai serves as deputy chief of staff (4), managing logistics and supply. Major General Nattawut Phasuvanichapong serves as deputy chief of staff (5), overseeing civil affairs.
All appointments take effect from October 1.
